Street Meat
A solution to late night dining on campus
Surrounded by wealthy suburbs that close down by 8pm, Stanford students struggle to find affordable food options at night. While most students accept this unfortunate reality, I saw great opportunity. Following the model of SF hot dog vendors, I bought a propane grill with two friends, and started selling food outside campus parties. We immediately gained traction on campus, due to our creative menu, affordable prices, and all around great vibes. While selling outside parties was a blast, it did not prove to be super lucrative. We decided to pivot to catering, drastically improving our margins and allowing us to scale to a team fo 12, catering gigs ranging from 20-2000 people.

Our current customer base includes Stanford Athletics, the Associated Students of Stanford University, Stanford Residential Education, and multiple student organizations on campus (Greek orgs, Row houses, etc). We have also moved into hosting small group fine dining experiences (multiple courses, fancy plating, drink pairings...the whole shabang). I also made some sick merch!
